134. His Grace May God Be Giving

1. His grace may God be giving,
His grace in Christ, to all.
In Him we now are living, (living,)
And we His coming hail!

2. The narrow way to heaven, -
Our steps would stray aside,
Unless His grace, once given, (given,)
Unto the end abide.

3. His grace is our reliance;
Our trust is not in vain;
Thou foes may breathe defiance, (defiance,)
God’s truth e’er shall remain.

4. Though needs grow greater ever,
In faith we call to Thee:
O mighty God and Savior, (Savior,)
Let us Thy coming see!

5. Lest we may be defeated,
This grace must in us live;
For victory, it the needed, (needed)
Patience and faith can give.

6. So there are no real losses
In what for Christ we miss;
Our Lord a grace possesses, (possesses)
That over all things is!

7. To Thee, Lord, we are living,
And still we pray to Thee:
Thy grace to all be giving, (giving,)
O grant Thy grace to me!
